SLCC Cyber Security Boot Camp

In a short time, you’ll be immersed in an intensive 8-week program. Students not only learn the essentials, but also learn how to apply the knowledge to solve real-world problems.

Cyber Security Certificate of Proficiency

Get virtual hands-on training in networking, systems, web technologies, databases, and defensive and offensive cybersecurity.

Career Opportunities

Employment of computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow 12 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. These occupations are expected to add about 500,000 new jobs to the CSIS industry.

What You Will Learn

The Cybersecurity Certificate of Proficiency teaches you how to identify, preserve, extract, analyze, and report forensic evidence on computers and mobile devices. You will learn about the challenges of computer and mobile forensics, walk through the process of analysis and examination of operating systems and mobile devices, and gain a deep understanding of differences in evidence locations and examination techniques on Windows and Linux computers and Android, iOS and Windows phones.

Salary and Jobs Opportunities

While salary varies by position, location, and industry, the BLS reports that security analysts earned an annual mean wage of $98,350. Because cybersecurity degrees teach students proficiency in critical hard skills such as computer programming and network configuration, even entry-level jobs require a certification. Typically, cybersecurity professionals begin in junior positions and advance with years of experience
